Day trip: The Morgan Library & Museum
The Friends of the Library, in conjunction with the Board of Library Trustees, invite you to join us on Tuesday, September 8th for a special day trip to The Morgan Library & Museum located at 225 Madison Avenue in New York City. After reading The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, members of the Books ‘n’ Bites club suggested we visit this remarkable cultural landmark. The Morgan is renowned for its extraordinary architecture and its exceptional collections of rare books, manuscripts, drawings, and historic documents. Our executive shuttle van will depart from the Municipal/Library parking lot at 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, we will have some free time to enjoy lunch (on your own) at the Café and browse the gift shop. At 1:30 p.m., we will gather for a 60-minute private tour highlighting the Morgan’s most notable treasures and spaces. Following the tour, we will board the van for our return trip to North Haledon.
Reservations are $100 for the general public, $95 for members of the Friends of the Library; and may be made in person at the library or by calling Susan at 973-427-6213, ext. 5.
